The ‘Peacekeeper and the Purple Egg’ started as a multicultural band in the winter of 2005 in a language school in Berlin city. Their exclusive integrated Funk Rock and Reggae style of music has given the band a reputation as the dynamic concert party band in town. Rocking the crowd with their original songs and few covers, with their raw energy on stage blows the mind of the audience away and gets them in the party mood all night nights long. The name ‘The Peacekeeper and The Purple Egg’ came from the philosophy of the founder of the band Leon, who describes ‘A peacekeeper never gets angry because the chicken never lays a purple egg’. The Peacekeeper and the Purple Egg has played over 50 shows in its nine months of existence.
Most of these gigs were played in a known cafe ACUD (Berlin).
In this period of time the band became the first live act band to play at the Goa Festival The Full Moon Festival with an audience of over 12,000 people.

The band has also played in the famous Bergmannstrassenfestival
which attracted the band to the Radio Multikulti and two of the band songs were played live on air.

The band has also recently played at the Independent Film Festival.Music critics have described the band as one of the most energetic and entertaining band in Berlin and a must see. The wonders of one rock guitar, a soul jazzy lead guitar and the deep five string base combined with the funky dub drum feel and the rusty soul voice pumping out of the speaker box – People watch out for the next best thing.
